I don’t even know what to say about this book. Just read it. Every time I read anything about political events that have transpired, the suffering of the world overwhelms me. I don’t know what to think about the fact that this is what humans do to each other. I don’t understand what a human is supposed to do with all of the suffering that has happened in the world. I don’t know how to understand it.
But it’s good to read books by these people who have endured suffering to enact political change. Maybe there is hope. I don’t know. I just fucking cried my eyes out in the library and I don’t know anything, but maybe there is hope.
